Tracy Broadway and Sennett Rockers of KIOX Radio in El Campo was presented the Texas Association of School Board Media Honor Award at the July 13 Ganado ISD School Board meeting for the coverage of 2009 Ganado Indian football season.
“I think they are very deserving of this honor.” said Superintendent Jeff Black. “This is the first time that we’ve had an entire season on radio. We had a lot of great coverage and opportunities to talk about the school and things we were doing and they allowed people that couldn’t travel to be able to listen to the football games and hear the band perform,” he added...
