Thunder slump but still get in

The Jackson County Thunder traveled to La Grange on Saturday, July 3 for a pair of “home” games versus the second place La Grange Demons. The heavy rains attributed to Hurricane Alex necessitated the change in venue and made for a couple of sloppy games in which the Thunder would drop game one 13-6 and game two 16-6.
La Grange began the scoring by tallying five unearned runs in the top of the first off of Jackson County starter Kris Looper, who took the loss despite yielding just one earned run in five and a third innings pitched.
The Thunder responded with a run of their own in the bottom of the inning on a Kensey Allen groundout that plated Josh Adams, who began the inning with a single. Jackson County tacked on two more runs in the third before leaving the bases loaded to end the inning...
