Industrial pushes to quarterfinals at State 7-on-7

The Edna and Industrial seven on seven teams traveled to the State Seven on Seven Tournament in College Station July 8-9 to play in Division II, the 1A-2A-3A class. Round robin four-team pool play on July 8 seeded teams for tournament play starting the next morning.
In pool play, Edna fell to Archer City 39-26 and Boyd 30-21, but beat division champ Gatesville 33-26. They would fall in the first round of the consolation bracket to Wellington 34-24.
In pool play, Industrial dropped a game to Abilene 33-20, trumped Grandview 26-20 but fell to Wimberly at the end of the day. In the second day’s play in the consolation bracket, Industrial rolled over Ingleside 38-12 and Reicher 38-33 in the following round before falling to Hardin 19-21 in the quarterfinals.
